A quarterly update on this newsletter and to share what I’m working on.

āœļø Life & Newsletter Update

New York City truly comes to life in the summer. The three months have been filled with events like rooftop mixers, yacht parties, happy hours, and curated dinners. Many folks feel polarized toward NFT.NYC, but I will say that the post-conference programming was pretty unique.

If you’re looking to get more involved, I recently shared a list of the top NY community leaders you should follow on Twitter to stay informed. šŸ‘‡

Tomorrow (July 12), I’m hosting a rooftop mixer at The Williamsburg Hotel during sunset. Next week (July 19), I've partnered with Supermomos to put together a Tech + Biz ā€˜Bingo’ mixer. The Supermomos app has a bingo feature that’s great for events and encourages you to step outside your comfort zone to meet others. I’ve been looking for more ways to increase serendipitous connections and new conversations at my events and I’m excited to test this out.

Separately, last week I asked this community if you’d be interested in curated dinners and happy hours and 50+ individuals replied. I’m working on putting something together, but meanwhile if you’d like to co-host or facilitate one of these events, please let me know.

I’m spending majority of my time and energy this summer on the broad theme of community. This means meeting new people, facilitating introductions, and investing in relationships.

Few things I’m working on:

  • Connecting talent with opportunities and supporting those who have been laid off

  • Coaching students, new grads, and early career folks independently and through Skillful (you can grab time with me here)

  • Partnering with community leaders, sponsors, and hospitality venues in the tech + business events space

  • Advising new ventures in social and community
